tasty tech tip
treat of the week:

Practice Safe Computing.

Always use anti-virus software and update the file it uses to recognize viruses; use a firewall and keep it updated; and, keep Windows updated.

Keep all of your software updated, especially any programs that access the Internet (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, web browser, email program, anti-virus, firewall, instant messengers, Adobe Reader, etc.).

It's only a matter of time before you get a virus, worm, adware, or some other malware program. Be prepared.

Keep multiple backups of critical data. (I believe in healthy paranoia when it comes to computers!)

You don't have to backup your programs, only your data files and system files (in other words, files that change or that you create).

Menu of Services

Which service do you need? My basic philosophy is:

If you're going to do something once, let someone else do it. If you need to do it repeatedly, learn to do it yourself. So, if I'm consulting and see something I think you'll need to do frequently, I suggest I train you to do it. If I'm training and see something that needs to be done once, I suggest I do it.

Why does that matter to you? Because it saves you time, money, and tons of frustration. You don't waste time and energy learning (and getting frustrated when you forget) things that are of low return on your investment. And, you save money because you're not paying me to keep doing things you could easily do yourself.

Computer Consulting

Use the Internet, email, contact managers, digital products, drip marketing, and more to market your business or professional service. Since 1989 Tricia has been cooking up solutions for her clients so they can use technology to grow their business.

Computer Training – One-on-One or Groups

"I don't care how it works! Just make it GO!" That seems to be the cry of many people when it comes to computers. Fortunately, Tricia understands your pain and promises not to give you more details than you actually need to know to do your work. Tricia's goal in training is for you to learn what you need when you need it — no more, no less — because she knows you'll forget anything else anyway.

Speaking

This is where Tricia gets to cut loose and talk about the stuff that is changing how businesses do business. If you think things have changed a lot in the past 15 years (that's about how long since email and the Internet started getting popular), you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Since 1989, through training, speaking, writing and consulting, Tricia has lived her passion of helping small business owners and professionals use technology to market and grow their business and get more done in less time (and eventually with less effort!) by taking the technical out of technology.
